About the challenges I faced, the most difficult was work with water. As I had a lot of plastics sacs, I couldn't do the work in just one day, so I needed to start fill in and put away to the next day, but about 50% of the bags leaked and I lost a lot of my work. I needed to store because I did not want to leave my work in the stairs over night when it wasn't complete. I had not other problems, but I think that if I need to work with water in the future I will think better about the material proprieties.
I learned with this experience that definitely the most important thing about installation is the relation SITE/MATERIAL/INTERACTION. Doesn't make much sense think about what we want to do if the site doesn't accept that, the better way is try to understand and listening from the site what we can make. Pay attention about the colors and the light that the place offers, and makes things work together. Questions about the scale and repetition can be answered this way too. But what I learned the most with this work was how people can get interested in your job and the coolest thing is that everybody can give your own interpretation and this make you think better about your work.
My point with this project was create a uterine environment who could receive the plastic bags with water that I see more like eggs, so some choices that I made was to try create this nest. One of the biggest vantages of the site was the point of view, because those stairs are in one of the most important points of the Kreischer building but also offered mystery and curiosity. People really felt intrigued and that made me pleased. The relation about in and outside is subtle because despite to be an open site also is protected and a little claustrophobic, what was perfect for my plastic bags.
